PARLEY
ANDERSON, D.P.T.
Parley Anderson is a Doctor of Physical Therapy
(D.P.T.) practicing orthopedic physical therapy. An advocate
and adherent of evidence-based physical therapy, Parley founded
SOAR Physical Therapy in 2004 to offer specialized treatment
to his patients. Parley specialized in rehabilitation of musculoskeletal
injuries, post surgical knee, back and shoulder as well as workers
compensation injuries. Parley has gained extensive experience
treating patients with diversified needs. He is currently working
on his board certification as an orthopedic clinical specialist
as well as his certification in mechanical diagnosis therapy,
a specialty in lumbar and cervical injury.
His approach to physical therapy
is not to just treat the chief complaint; Parley focuses his
personal and professional attention to the “whole patient.”
Through this philosophy, he hopes to minimize the amount of
total treatments and therefore be cost effective in therapy
from initial evaluation to discharge, without compromising
the quality of care received by his patients. Honesty and
integrity in his personal and professional interactions form
the backbone of SOAR Physical Therapy.
Parley, a native Nevadan, received both a Doctorate
of Physical Therapy and a masters degree in the Science of
Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific. Parley
also earned both a BS in Education and MS in fitness management
from the University Nevada, Reno.
Parley is a member of the American Physical
Therapists Association (APTA) and Nevada Physical Therapy
Association (NPTA). Parley also serves as a Nevada delegate
to the House of Delegates, the legislative division of the
APTA. Parley’s continuing academic service includes
instructing physical therapists at national post-graduate
seminars. He also provides community education through public
speaking seminars and health education articles in the local
newspapers.
Parley recently founded his second physical
therapy clinic in Silver Springs. Silver Springs Physical
Therapy is located within the Lahonton Medical Center. This
clinic enables easy access to quality physical therapy for
residents of Silver Springs and the surrounding communities.
